Scope of work

Project summary

To protect a gas-gathering pipeline in Oklahoma from corrosion, Targa Resources contracted Audubon for project managementdesignconstruction managementengineering, and commissioning of a conventional impressed-current cathodic protection (CP) system.

Audubon’s Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP)–certified specialists supplied system design calculations, specifications, and detailed drawings of the impressed-current CP system. The team also provided on-site inspection, final testing, and commissioning.

With the comprehensive design and commissioning of the CP system by Audubon, Targa Resources was able to achieve robust corrosion protection for its gas-gathering pipeline.
