Scope of work

Project summary

Audubon was contracted by LLOG Exploration for floating production system (FPS) engineering services in the Keathley Canyon, Gulf of Mexico, including project management, front-end engineering, detailed design, procurement, automation, and construction support for the Salamanca FPS.

The Salamanca FPS engineering design repurposes an existing FPS. The column-stabilized platform reuses the topside truss, cranes, lifeboats, and hull—with minor modifications—while topside processing equipment, utility systems, quarters and buildings, safety equipment, piping, instrumentation, and electrical systems are new. The refurbished unit taps the Leon and Castile discoveries and has a production capacity of 60,000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD), 25 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of natural gas, and 25,000 barrels of water per day (BWPD).

Supported by Audubon’s integrated FPS engineering services, the Salamanca project enables LLOG Exploration to safely explore and produce energy in the Gulf of Mexico.
