Carbon Dioxide Transport & Processing for EOR

CO2 usage EOR | Audubon Companies

Client:

Confidential

Location:

United States

Project Summary:

Audubon provided conceptual design and detailed engineering for a large-scale carbon dioxide (CO2) re-usage system for enhanced oil recovery (EOR). The project’s objective was to utilize captured CO2 to improve the oil production for an existing depleted oil field. The system was designed for approximately 200 MMSCFD of CO2, including CO2 compression, supercritical CO2 pumps, high-pressure CO2 pipelines, CO2 dehydration, and reinjection into the formation.

Project Overview:

  • CO2 supercritical handling & pumping
  • CO2 supercritical compression
  • CO2 dehydration
  • CO2 LP & HP pipelines
  • CO2 injection

Scope of Work:

  • Project management
  • Conceptual design
  • Front end engineering design (FEED)
  • Technology selection
  • Detailed engineering & design
  • Pipeline engineering
  • Procurement
  • Construction management
