Project Summary:
Audubon provided front-end engineering and design (FEED), project management, economic evaluation sand modeling services to implement a stack gas CO2 capture (approximately 1.1 MMTPA of CO2) and cleanup system to produce a pipeline-quality CO2 product. The proposed CO2 capture project aimed to reduce the carbon emissions of a 300 MW natural gas power plant.
The design scope of work included volatile organic compound (VOC), sulfur oxides (SOx), and water removal. The project evaluated several large-capacity carbon capture technologies for fuel gas applications for operational efficiency and capital expenditures. As a result, a motor drive centrifugal compression (20,000 HP) was selected fortheCO2 pipeline transmission.
