Project Summary:

Audubon Companies was selected to serve as the Owner’s Engineer to support Trafigura Trading, LLC in their effort to construct, own, and operate a deep-water port. The project consists of a single point mooring (SPM) buoy, associated pipeline infrastructure, and an onshore storage terminal facility. The purpose of this project is to allow for the loading of Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) at the proposed Deepwater Port via a SPM buoy system. This project is to be constructed and operated near North Padre Island, TX in the US Gulf of Mexico.

Project Overview:

  • Offshore Terminal Loading Capacity for Eight (8) VLCCs per Month
  • Loading Rate of 60,000 BPH; Annual Capacity Equal to 192 Million Barrels per Year
