PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Permian Pipeline Regulatory Compliance & Maintenance
Permian Pipeline Regulatory Compliance & Maintenance
Client:
XTO Energy
Location:
Coyanosa, Texas
Project summary:
To comply with Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) requirements, XTO Energy charged Audubon with developing and implementing pipeline regulatory compliance measures, as well as an operations and maintenance (O&M) program for a greenfield crude oil pipeline in the Permian Basin.
As part of its pipeline services, Audubon designed a custom ArcGIS Online portal, analytical tools, and reporting system for the energy company’s specific needs. Multiple layers were applied such as hydrography, elevation, terrain, and street map; custom maps were created such as gathering/trunk, regulation status,
and dimensions; and custom analysis was implemented for routes, measurements, and buffers. For work sharing and requests, ArcGIS Online was incorporated into the scheduling and tracking features of SharePoint. Licensing and access rights were also established for Concentric and ArcGIS Online account users. Audubon developed an additional O&M program for an existing pipeline to streamline as-built data migration to ArcGIS Online. Data management and technical support continued for two years following implementation.
By leveraging compliance expertise and leading technology, Audubon supplied an O&M program that enhanced reporting and reduced risks for XTO Energy’s Permian Basin crude oil pipeline.
