EPC Contract Awarded for 13-Mile Power Distribution Line
Comprehensive project solution to expedite new pumping station along Texas pipeline
HOUSTON, October 13, 2026–Today Audubon Companies, a leading provider of engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), fabrication, and operations and maintenance (O&M) services, announces its latest project award in the power and utilities sector. Audubon will provide comprehensive EPC for a distribution line near Sonora, Texas. The 24.9-kV, 13-mi distribution line will serve a major midstream energy company’s new pumping station, powering natural gas liquid (NGL) delivery from the Permian Basin to Gulf Coast fractionation facilities.
Facing utility-resource shortage and a tight timeline on a pumping station in Texas, a national midstream energy operator chose Audubon to step in as EPC provider for the station’s power distribution line. Within its scope for the new distribution line, Audubon will take full charge of the project’s detailed engineering and design, material sourcing, vendor coordination, construction management, and site installation. The team will coordinate closely with the operator, local utilities, and third parties to keep the project schedule on track, starting with the routing and permitting phases all the way to energization. Audubon’s centralized project management approach will emphasize early risk identification, uncertainty reduction, structured execution, and above all, safety.
“Audubon’s power group is excited to begin EPC work on the new distribution line,” commented Scott Salter, Vice President of Power and Utilities. “By prioritizing constructability from the start, our team will ensure efficient execution and reliable energy delivery for NGL markets.”
Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Infrastructure John Pierce noted, “Power is a prerequisite for moving energy resources across regions. Audubon has the discipline, expertise, and experience to bring this new pumping station across the finish line with dependable power infrastructure.”
