Audubon Companies Selected as Owner’s Engineer + Advisor for AMIGO LNG Export Terminal

LNG export facility expertise, large capital project execution experience to deliver project oversight for new 7.8-MTPA facility on the western coast of Mexico

HOUSTON, TX, September 4, 2025–Audubon Companies, a leading provider of EPC, owner’s engineering, fabrication, and field services, announced today it has been selected as owner’s engineer and advisor for a new LNG export terminal in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico. The project, developed by AMIGO LNG SA de CV, a joint venture between Epcilon LNG LLC and LNG Alliance Pte Ltd, will have a capacity of 7.8 MTPA and will leverage on its strategic proximity to the US Permian Basin to effectively deliver LNG in high-growth markets globally.

As owner’s engineer and advisor, Audubon will oversee detailed engineering, procurement, equipment manufacturing, package fabrication, local Mexico construction, commissioning/startup, and operations activities. Audubon will continue to support the AMIGO LNG project team with technical assurance, optimizing resource utilization, and mitigating risks. The company will also support LNG Alliance in contractor selection and performance oversight, ensuring efficient technology integration, streamlined execution, and modular construction for all onshore and nearshore components.

“We’re honored to be selected as owner’s engineer and advisor for this world-class LNG development in Mexico,” said David Robison, Audubon CEO. “Our team is driven by a unique combination of LNG expertise and an unwavering commitment to the highest international standards in environment, safety, and quality. We look forward to collaborating with LNG Alliance and project stakeholders to deliver this facility successfully and create long-term value for the region.”

“Awarding the owner’s engineering and advisory services for our LNG export facility represents a key achievement in our project schedule,” said Dr. Muthu Chezhian, LNG Alliance CEO. “Audubon first engaged with LNG Alliance more than two years ago to help define the terminal concept and develop the FEED basis. The firm’s execution experience— ranging from large offshore topsides to onshore processing facilities—coupled with its midscale LNG expertise, gives us confidence that this project will be delivered safely, effectively, and on time.”

The AMIGO LNG export terminal represents one of the most significant midscale LNG developments in North America with a modular execution strategy and is expected to contribute to Mexico’s growing role in the global energy supply chain.
