Project summary

Audubon was enlisted by Targa Resources for detailed engineering and designprocurement, project managementconstruction, and automation and control of a benzene saturation unit at its facility in East Texas. The brownfield facility expansion serves the company’s network of integrated gathering pipelines and processing plants across Texas and Louisiana.

To meet specifications, the benzene saturation unit was designed to hydrogenate low-sulfur natural gas and convert benzene to cyclohexane. Audubon’s services ensured integration with other plant utilities, including flare, drain, power, and instrument air. The robust solutions provided to Targa Resources allowed for regulatory compliance and effective benzene reduction.
