Maamoura and Baraka Oil and Gas Treatment

Maamoura & Baraka Field Treatment Plant | Audubon Companies

Client:

Eni

Location:

Tunisia

Project summary:

Audubon supplied detailed engineering, design, procurement, and construction management for Eni’s greenfield oil and gas treatment plant in Tunisia. With a processing capacity of 10,000 BPD of crude oil, 3,100 BPD of water, and 30 MMSCFD of natural gas, the facility produces stabilized crude, pipeline-quality sales gas, and a propane-butane mixture (Butapro).

The scope of work comprised a slug catcher; separation of secondary crude, water, and gas; desalting and stabilization of crude; gas compression, amine treatment, ultralow–dew-point glycol dehydration; straight refrigeration–type hydrocarbon dew-point control; an NGL stripper; and a debutanizer. Audubon applied a
modular approach for all processing units, which were fabricated in the US and shipped to Tunisia for installation.

Because of the robust engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) provided by Audubon for the Maamoura and Baraka field, Eni was able to implement effective fractionation and treatment to produce stabilized crude oil and pipeline gas.
