Project summary
Audubon was selected by MedcoEnergi to provide engineering, project management, procurement, fabrication, and commissioning and startup services for a greenfield project in Indonesia. The Kayra Sentosa gas-processing plant was designed to handle 100 MMSCFD of natural gas.
The facility included a turboexpander plant using Single-Column Overhead Recycle (SCORE) for 99% gas processing and a 5,720-BPD depropanizer and 2,470-BPD debutanizer—both with a 22,000-HP inlet and residue compressor. Plant utilities included flare, drain, instrument air, control system, power generation, and associated infrastructure. Audubon applied a modular approach for all processing units, which were fabricated and shop-tested in house and then shipped to the site for installation.
After the detailed engineering and implementation by Audubon, the Kayra Sentosa gas-processing plant was able to produce truckable condensate, pipeline-quality sales gas, and natural gas liquid (NGL) products.
