Sara Young Honored for Women Who Mean Business by Houston Business Journal

Audubon celebrates SVP’s award-winning transformational leadership that puts people first and creates lasting industry impact.

HOUSTON, TX, October 23, 2025–Audubon Companies proudly announces that Sara Young, Senior Vice President of Growth and Strategy, has been honored for Houston Business Journal’s 2025 Women Who Mean Business award. This prestigious award celebrates women across Houston who are exceptional and inspiring in their professional leadership.

Transformational leadership in action

For Sara Young, transformational leadership is more than a philosophy—it’s the daily pursuit of results grounded in purpose, inclusion, and resilience. Applying this measure to her SVP position at Audubon, Sara oversees the company’s business development and marketing functions. Audubon has experienced incredible growth over the last two years in service lines, client base, regional reach, and headcount. As a member of Audubon’s executive leadership team, Sara has contributed through this time of rapid expansion with clarity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence

“Sara embodies the heart of Audubon in her integrity, authenticity, and people-first leadership,” remarked CEO David Robison. “Our organization has benefited tremendously from her vision and influence, and we are privileged to celebrate the Women Who Mean Business award with her.”

Advocacy, mentorship, + industry impact

Alongside Audubon, Sara is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive work culture. She launched the growing organization’s Women’s Network and mentors professionals both within Audubon and across the energy sector. Her community and industry involvement are award-worthy as well. Sara’s wide-ranging committee positions have helped shape the offshore, midstream, and pipeline sectors. As a mom of three young boys, Sara also supports neurodiverse education, youth sports, and children’s charities through volunteerism and leadership roles.

Reflecting on the honor, Sara shared, “Being recognized among Houston’s Women Who Mean Business is incredibly humbling. This award isn’t just about personal or even professional achievement. It’s about fueling positive results in our communities, workplaces, and industries—results that lift others up and create change that lasts. I’m proud to represent Audubon and be part of a company where collaboration and innovation drive meaningful impact. I am excited to help drive what’s next for women in energy
