Austin Heider Joins Audubon as Vice President of Environmental Services

Audubon to elevate its support of industrial sustainability by harnessing Heider’s environmental consulting, technical insight, and leadership experience

HOUSTON, July 26, 2023–Audubon Engineering Company (Audubon), a leading provider of integrated engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), consulting, technical, and field services, announced today that Austin Heider will join the leadership team as Vice President of Environmental Services.

Strategic expansion of integrated solutions for environmental performance

Leveraging wide regulatory knowledge and comprehensive environmental experience, Austin will lead Audubon in boosting the environmental performance of industrial clients. With a focus on governmental compliance and protection of natural and cultural resources, Austin will work to strategically expand Audubon’s portfolio of environmental due-diligence, assessment, and remediation capabilities.

“Companies are pursuing streamlined environmental services that afford long-term success for their projects and protection for the communities in which they work. Austin has impressive project experience, team management, and expertise in the environmental sector,” Audubon CEO David Robison commented.

“With his leadership, we will grow our environmental solutions, diversifying our capabilities to help clients solve their most complex problems, navigate change, and shape a more sustainable future.”

This appointment will elevate Audubon’s presence in the market for environmental services. Industries such as oil and gas, renewables, and infrastructure confront quick due-diligence deadlines, constantly changing regulations, and unplanned events that threaten critical assets and the environment.

“It is a privilege to lead a team of individuals dedicated to personal safety and environmental protection in industrial operations,” said Austin.

“I am eager to further contribute to Audubon’s competencies and extend our offerings to meet changing environmental and regulatory demands—and to improve our clients’ environmental performance.”

Career focus on environmental consulting, compliance, event response, and project execution

Austin previously served in a VP role supporting environmental operations and projects across the southern United States and Gulf Coast. He has widespread national regulatory knowledge and experience in environmental permitting for downstream oil and gas, operational support and maintenance, and environmental management. He has successfully led and grown a team of professional geologists and engineers servicing multimillion-dollar projects in the private sector for petrochemical storage development and expansion, renewable energy design and infrastructure, and asset acquisition and mergers. Austin graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geoscience. He will be based in Houston, Texas and will report to Audubon CEO David Robison.
