Jim Cowie

Member of the Board of Directors, Audubon Engineering Company

Jim Cowie has 40 years of leadership experience in the energy industry, beginning with 15 years working with a drilling contractor and most recently working with Nobel Energy in the UK as a board member.

Much of Jim’s career has been spent with Amoco, bp/Amoco, and bp. He served as Vice President for bp Global Wells Operations, supporting the company’s wells businesses across the globe. Prior to this, he was Vice President for bp’s wells businesses in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, and earlier in the United Kingdom and Norway (for the North Sea).

Jim has also been involved in an advisory capacity to company CEOs. He gained a Master of Science degree with distinction in Oil and Gas Engineering at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland.
