Carbon Dioxide Capture – Power Generation

Carbon Dioxide Capture | Audubon Companies

United States

Project Summary:

To reduce the carbon emissions of a 300 MW natural gas-driven power plant, Audubon Companies provided engineering and economic evaluations and modeling to implement a stack gas CO2 capture (approximately 1.1 MMTPA of CO2) and cleanup system to produce a pipeline-quality CO2 product. The project evaluated several large capacity CO2 capture technologies for flue gas applications for concept selection based on operational efficiency and capital expenditures. Included in the design of the system was VOC, SOX, and water removal. A motor drive centrifugal compressor(20,000 HP) was selected for CO2 transmission to the pipeline.

Project Overview:

  • CO2 LP Vent Handling
  • VOC Removal
  • SOX Removal
  • CO2 Dehydration
  • CO2 Supercritical Compression

Scope of Work:

  • Project Management
  • Conceptual Design
  • Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
